Ask Your Doctor About Administration of Anesthesia, Anesthesia Risks and Anesthesiologists

It’s up to you to talk to your doctor before any procedure. You should learn as much as you can about the whole medical procedure and what to expect afterwards. Remember to ask the right questions, including who will administer the anesthesia.

Before you or your family member has surgery, make sure you request to have an Anesthesiologist Physician by your or their side. It’s your right — and it doesn’t cost you more.

But it’s up to you to make the request. Don’t skip this critical step. Talk to your surgeon or Ob/Gyn today.

“Who’s going to deliver the anesthesia?” It’s a Simple Question.

This is the question you need to ask before any surgical procedure, and preferably before the surgery is even scheduled. It’s your choice.

You have a choice. Make sure to say you want an Anesthesiologist by your side. Insist on it. There’s simply no substitute when it comes to the health and safety of you and your family.
